An Employee-Owned Company Date: February 05, 2021 City of Aspen Pitkin County, Colorado Vertical Setback Compliance Survey Name of Project: 905 Chatfield Road General Contractor: G.F. Woods Construction Based on a survey performed by High Country Engineering, Inc. between January 19, 2021 and February 3, 2021, the roof heights from the most restrictive grades, excluding the chimney exemption, on the new residence constructed at 905 Chatfield Road, Lot 4 of West Aspen Subdivision, are shown at lettered locations ‘D’ and ‘H’. These points were calculated to the top of roof sheathing, but were measured to the top of the flashing gravel stop shown on the following detail sheets. The elevations of existing grade (most restrictive) at these points were determined to be 7825.0’ (D) and 7826.5’ (H), which correlate to heights of 25.6’ and 24.9’, respectively. Because design roof heights are calculated to the top of roof sheathing, the as-built at the top of the gravel stop, roof height ‘D’ can be reduced to 25’ to accurately reflect the height to the roof sheathing. Dimensioned details of the constructed roof build up were provided by G.F. Woods Construction marked up on sheets A-007, A-500 and A-540 on the architectural plan set drawn by CCY Architects and can be found on the following pages. When comparing the collected survey data to sheet A-007 (Height Limits) provided by CCY Architects, this building does lie within the vertical setback.
