Sampling Descriotion
Phase Con provided construction specific Lead Based Paint (LBP) Survey
services at the Aspen Meadows Reception Center at The Aspen Institute
in Aspen, Colorado on March 3, 2017. The scope of work was limited to
testing of surfaces which were suspect for the presence of LBP and which
would be impacted in the planned renovation work as described by the
client's representative.
Paint chip samples were obtained from several painted surfaces by a
Colorado State and EPA certified LBP Risk Assessor, Mr. Douglas Close,
and submitted for analysis to an ELLAP accredited laboratory.
Discussion & Recommendations
Laboratory analysis of the samples obtained can be summarized as
follows:
None of the paint samples showed the presence of Lead Based
Paint.
No special precautions for LBP will need to be employed in the planned
renovation work which will impact the tested surfaces.
