Reference A-501 for an updated F-5 assembly showing both spaces are conditioned. Reference details 3 and 8 on Sheet A-502 showing the existing assemblies, W-3 and R-1 to be insulated with spray foam. Section A on sheet A-301 also shows correct assemblies at the garage. FP Response: The 4" slab is not supported by non combustible construction. This slab is on grade, additionally supported by the new basement wall below and cantilevered for the hearth extension. The 2x8 Ledger is to support the new wood framing on the main level. Reference detail 1, on A-403 which shows a section of this condition. FP Response: A glass guard will now be installed instead of the lattice system previously shown. A specification sheet for the glass guard railing system has been provided. This glass guard complies with COA 8.16.020(s) and Table R301.5. Reference sheet A-401 for updated stair drawings. FP Response: The roof plan has been revised to show the new fireplace correctly. Exterior walls of the fireplace are canted, which decreases the overall width of the termination at the chimney cap. An enlarged fireplace plan and sectional drawings have been provided on sheet A-403. The revised Fireplace now meets the IRC clearance requirement of Table R1001.1 (R)
