Permit No. 0248.2017.ARBK
614 W. North Street
Justin,
The owner of 614 W. North Street is requesting a variance for drywell setbacks from the south property
line and the proposed structure’s foundation due to site constraints.
Criteria from which the applicant seeks a variance.
In Section 8.5.4.2 of the City of Aspen’s Urban Runoff Management Plan, “Drywells – Physical Site
Suitability”, states that drywells must be located at least 10 feet from building foundations. The design
engineer shall evaluate potential impacts of infiltrated runoff on nearby foundations even when spacing
from the foundation is greater than 10 feet.
The City of Aspen Engineering Department requests that drywells are to be offset 10’ from all property
lines.
Justification for not complying with the criteria
Refer to BMP memorandum for justification of variance request.
Supporting Documentations
See the Civil Set for site layout and constraints.

Potential adverse impacts for proposed variance and alternate criteria on downstream water bodies
public and private.
No known impacts from the proposed variance. No water will reach a downstream water body, as all
captured runoff will infiltrate into the ground.
Please call with any questions, I look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Adam Racette
