Front Setback Variance Request
Dear Sirs,
I am the owner of Black Birch Estates Lot 7, located on the north side of
Lot 6.
The planned garage is to be constructed' on this side of the Saussus house,
between the house and our common lot line.
Mr. Saussus has addressed my concerns by agreeing to some landscaping
which will mitigate the visual impact (see attached letter).
This is to notify you of my full approval of the setback variance as
requested.

This is to confirm our telephone conversation of last night in which you asked
me to plant a couple of trees, like spruce and/or aspen as a concession for
approving the variance that i are now requesting with the city of aspen.
As I told you, I have no objections and will proCesd t as soon as the garage
extension is completed, at the most appropriate season for planting. This
planting will take place along the edge of the crest in the area of our
windows facing your property•
