RE: 330 Gillespie Avenue
Aspen, Colorado
Dear Alison,
As requested we have reviewed the potential structural impact of the proposed interior remodel at the
residence noted above. Our review is based upon existing and proposed architectural drawings provided by
Rowland + Broughton, dated October 27, 2017.
The current proposed scope of work includes the demolition of the existing bedroom and storage walls in the
basement, as well as the bathroom and closet walls on the second level. Once demolition can begin, the interior
ceiling finishes shall be partially removed (in locations shown in the attached plans) in order to verify the
potential effect on the existing structure, if any. Once the structure is exposed,we shall be contacted to visually
observe the conditions. We request the contractor be on site during the structural inspection to open any
additional finishes required to identify the existing structure. We will then be able to conclude upon the
structural impact of the proposed remodel. This shall be done prior to proceeding with the removal or
modification of any framing members.
Should you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely,
