FOOD AND WINE CLASSIC
Jennifer Allhright, ACRA presented the schedule.
Two new seminar sites are Baldwin Gallery and the space above Aspen
Sports. A map of Wagner Park was provided. There is a new entrance this
year near Pacifica on the cobble stones to allow for more tent space. It also
provides for better traffic flow. Popup pavilions again will be provided.
Temporary floral arrangements will be provided at the entrance.
Jon's concern is that the public bathrooms are far away.from the new
entrance. Jon suggested adding a port-a-potty on Monarch St.
Bill's concern is the need to upgrade Wagner Park for special events and the
ACRA should get involved.
Jon felt that the CCLC should be involved in the decisions of Wagner Park.
Temporary surface over the grass was suggested for the ACRA to look into.
Tents will be erected and there will be 24 hour security at the site.
Silver Circle and the Little Nell will also have tents at those locations.
Bill stated that the compensation from Food and Wine is not adequate for
the work and time involved by the ACRA.
Other magazines and displayers are attractive for Aspen.
Jon informed the Board that the uniqueness of Aspen is that everyone can
walk.
