MISSION STATEMENT

remains a safe and attractive environment for the enjoyment of visitors,
pedestrians and residents.
To maintain compatibility and harmony between business and public uses of
the commercial core.
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Bill asked the board about the expansion of the commercial core area. An
area of concern is the housing project on 7t~ and Main and the idea of a
convenience store at that location. Mixing housing and commercial is not
appropriate.
Jon said that idea will be a different kind of blight. It is a 711 coming to
Aspen. The issues of trash and deliveries and more employees is not
addressed.
There are great reservations about the impact and in the immediate future
the whole notion of dispersion of the commercial core and dillusion. Right
across the street there is a business that could accommodates this and more,
the Hickory House.
