With a simple switch,an operator can choose between three rpm droop settings to fit the specific job application. Benefit: This exclusive system from Vermeer helps increase operator productivity and reduces strain on vital engine parts,as rpm settings are adjustable and automatically monitored. Three rpm settings offer improved versatility for varying applications. Feature: Clutchless PTO Description: The throttle integrated with the belt drive engagement process helps ensure that the PTO can only be engaged while the engine is at low idle/low rpm.Automatically, the engine throttles up to full rpm after the belt drive is fully engaged. Benefit: Premature wear to the belt drive system is reduced by preventing high idle engagement of the cutter drum. Feature: Four-Position Feed Control Bar Description:A four-position feed control bar is positioned within easy reach of the infeed housing and allows the operator to control the forward or reverse direction of the feed rollers. In addition, the operator can push or pull the feed control bar, stopping the feed rollers. Benefit:This design allows the operator to easily control feed direction and provides an additional way to stop the infeed, enhancing operator safety. Feature: Bottom Feed Stop Bar Description: The bottom feed stop bar is strategically located to make it possible for an operator's leg to strike the bar and shut off the feed mechanism either intentionally or automatically in an emergency situation. Reset/Hold-to-run buttons on each side of the infeed housing allow the operator to readily reset the system if the bar is tripped. Benefit: Helps to increase operator safety while feeding material. Feature:Control Panel Description: The control panel is located on the right rear of the unit. Benefit: This allows for the operator to have easier access to the necessary gauges and droop setting switch while the machine is in operation. Feature: Engine options. Description: The BC1000XL is powered by either a 49-hp(36.4 kW)or a 74-hp(55.4 kW)diesel engine. Benefit: Engine options provide efficient performance that enhances productivity for jobsite needs. Feature: Large Feed Opening Description: The BC1000XL features a 12"(30 cm)tall and 17"(43 cm)wide infeed opening. 1 Benefit:This design can help boost productivity by decreasing the amount of trim cuts needed prior to processing. Benefit: This design provides easy access to the engine during maintenance. Feature: Rubber-Mounted Engine and Cutter Housing Description: This feature is designed to reduce vibration transmitted to the frame. Benefit: This helps reduce premature failure to shields, fenders and other components. This design also helps reduce machine noise. Feature: Discharge Chute Description:A standard, easy-access hand crank rotates the discharge chute 270 degrees. Benefit:Adjustable chute positions allow chip boxes to be filled evenly while safely directing chips away from the infeed area. Feature: Dual-Edge Cutter Knives Description: Dual-edge cutter knives feature two usable sides. Benefit: Helps increase the life of the knife by including two usable edges rather than one.
