Please see the below list of outstanding comments. You may respond to me directly when all comments have been addressed. Please include written response indicating how/where corrections have been made. I've also attached a copy of the original comment letter from CCC as well as your response letter for your reference. 1.VComments B-1ci and S-1 through S-8: No stamped structural plans were provided with your responses. Your unstamped structural proposed drawings do not resolve any of the original comments, without a stamp we cannot accept them as official construction documents. We acknowledge that your engineer is waiting until demolition begins in order to finish the actual structural plans and details, but you will need to acknowledge that we will not provide any inspections for this project until these stamped structural plans have been submitted, reviewed, and approved. These structural designs need to be a priority for you as soon as work begins. 2.`/Comment B-1ciii: No response was given, the original comment requesting flashing details at ledger connection to existing building still remains. 3.1/Comment B-4: No window/door flashing details were actually provided as your response indicated, all that was provided was references to "window/door flashing per IRC 703.4". IRC 703.4 requires flashing to be done in accordance with either the manufacturer's flashing details or the design professional's detailing. Provide or the other. Referencing the code section that requires the flashing detailing does not resolve the comment. 4.1/Comment B-5: No documentation of class A roof covering was provided. Referencing the code requirement on the plan does not satisfy the requirement, nor does stating that you will match existing class A roof construction. Original comment requesting the listing for the class A roof assembly still stands. If you can tell me the specific make or brand of treated shake you are proposing to use I may be able to help find the proper documentation. 5,4/Comment EN-4: Simply stating that air sealing requirements apply does not satisfy the comment, you need to show how you intend to meet the requirements. I've attached our standard air sealing details to this email that cover the 4 main methods of air sealing. If you identify which method, or combination of methods you intend to utilize I can attach the applicable sheets to your plan sets. We now require inspection of these air sealing components, so you may want to discuss this with your contractor before selecting the details you will be inspected to. The intent here is to attach the applicable detail sheet so that there is no confusion regarding what is expected for inspection purposes. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or want to discuss anything prior to sending your responses.
