Motion passed 4-0
Jim True and Kate Johnson joined the meeting and spoke with the members about potentially becoming
a private organization versus a city board. Members discussed.
Cody was asking about having a community group under which they can plan events and then an official
board that meets quarterly.
Jim True told him he doesn’t think that is a possibility.
Cody said he is apprehensive to make that call without all board members in attendance.
Zach was interested in the board because it was attached to the City Government.
Tyler has a question for Jim about working groups, are they able to do that?
Jim told him they can have a work session that doesn’t need to be recorded, but it has to be noticed and
open to the public and they cannot take any formal action.
Tyler is interested in a work session so they can sit down for a few hours and talk things out.
Jim verifies that they cannot take action in a work session and they cannot make any decision without a
quorum.
Cody wants to schedule a work session the week before the meetings, upcoming on July 28th at 2 pm.
Everyone agrees.
The work session needs to be noticed 24 hours in advance, there needs to be an agenda-it can be broad,
it does not need to be recorded, and nothing can be voted on.
