DATE: April 15, 2017 RE: 36 Ute Hot Tub Remodel ❑ ENCLOSURE City of Aspen Building Department Comments 1. Architectural and Structural drawings do not show steps around hot tub. Page 7 Response: In earlier iterations, there were steps around the hot tub. They have been deleted in the current design. The landscape planting plan have been updated to show the correct condition. 2. Is there any Snowmelt in this project?Existing or proposed? Page 9 Response: At permit submittal, there was no new snowmelt in the project. After consultation with the owner, we will be reconfiguring and adding snowmelt to this project. Here is a history of the snowmelt for this property: 2005-2006 The entire house was remodeled. The snowmelt was calculated and the REMP fee calculated and paid with this permit. Please refer to sheet A-100-SME (Snowmelt Existing). This sheet was provided in the 2009 permit set. 2009 A remodel was performed on the main level and exterior deck. The existing BBQ patio deck and snowmelt was reconfigured. The amount of the snowmelt on the BBQ patio did not change, staying consistent @ 176.1 sf. Please refer to sheet A-100-SMN (Snowmelt New). Please notice that the lower level deck has an existing snowmelt of 248.9 sf. 2017 We have provided an existing (A108) and proposed snowmelt plan (A109). Per the original drawings we have 248.5 of existing snowmelt already paid for. We are adding 141 s.f. of new snowmelt.We have included a new REMP calculation sheet. 3.
