Discussion items:
Pros Consulting Presentation:
The business plan aims to focus on programs, services, and experiences for the Recreation
Department. The project will need to encompass the regionality of the service. The Recreation
Department runs like a business and provides services for most of the valley. They will create and
deliver a statistically valid survey for the plan development. The cost analysis of facilities and
programs is currently being reviewed. The work will inform a 5-tier classification system to assign
cost recovery goals. They will look at industry trends and sports development and create a pathway
for the department to staff with current trends.
Events:
Project Graduation was very fun and successful.
Park Run continues at the golf course.
Program, Project, and Facility Updates:
Summer sports have begun, and the umpire meeting was successful.
Pickleball Court construction will begin next summer see the attached drawing.
Financial:
Revenue is out pacing last year. The department is currently sitting at a 43% recovery rate.
