Saturday Market Vendor Evaluation:
Mr. Ball handed out a list of new vendors to the board.
Ms. Strickland said she would like to evaluate the returning vendors first and said she put the total sales
amount next to their name on the list. She advised that the sales amount is confidential and for the
board’s eyes only.
The board commenced judging the applications.
Mr. Ball announced that they completed all of the returning applications and said everyone did a great
job.
Mr. Ball said there are a couple of items for discussion. Louis Swiss didn’t apply and asked the board
what they wanted to do about it since they are under new ownership. He said he is headed over to the
ABC after the meeting and he will ask them if they want to participate. Ms. Raj said it’s reasonable to
make decisions for the good of the market since they are under new ownership.
Mr. Ball mentioned that they should also discuss the Pappardelle application. Ms. Strickland said it’s
unsigned. Mr. Ball said he was not allowed in last year due to his score, but he’s been in the market for
the past two decades. There were a lot of people who asked where he was last year. Mr. Ball suggested
the board evaluate his application. The board agreed.
The board requested to extend the meeting by a half hour again on February 1st.
Ms. Strickland asked about a goat cheese application. She said the applicant doesn’t have enough
product to run a booth, so she’s proposing to sell other foods from another Colorado person to keep the
booth up for this year only. She doesn’t fall into an aggie category. The board said they think she’s really
good and said they will evaluate her application.
Ms. Wang motioned to adjourn; Mr. Ball seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
