Ms. Baker said this meeting is about updating visions and goals and determining what we want to
commit to regarding parking and transportation. She gave a timeline for the project scope and schedule
of events.
She said that CCLC’s role today is to give real, raw, and exciting visions.
She asked the board to put post it notes of fears they have about their efforts to change parking and
transportation. Some of the notes said, “painful politically”, “public will”, “what is equitable for some,
isn’t for all”, etc.
Ms. Tanaka spoke about parking in Europe and how easy it is. Ms. Butler agreed.
Mr. Dinsmoor said that politically, it’s impossible. We need to address growth because we just keep
feeding the monster.
Ms. Butler said this is the toughest subject for you guys to attack.
Ms. Baker said this will be shared out with the rest of CCLC if they would also like to contribute at a later
date. Ms. Henning said she would forward the information to the group.
