With the assistance of engineers and technicians employed by TRA Snow & Sun, we have authored or reviewed spreadsheets created by TRA for now retention devices. We have provided or reviewed these spreadsheets for use by TRA Snow &Sun employees for the purpose of estimating, laying -out, and designing snow retention systems. The spreadsheets should only be used by employees properly trained to input accurate data and interpret the spreadsheet results. The spreadsheets have been written to conform to the building codes listed within the individual spreadsheets and are not valid for any other codes. Note that our spreadsheets are limited to the structural design of the snow retention systems and do not include calculations for the design or verification of any new or existing structures that may support the systems, nor do they address waterproofing, adequacy of the roofing system, or other architectural aspects. We recommend that the structural design and spreadsheet results for individual projects be reviewed by a licensed engineer to verify that all of the project parameters have been properly applied and the results interpreted correctly. Please note that Vector Structural Engineering does not accept liability for any individual project that has not been specifically reviewed and stamped by a licensed engineer employed by Vector Structural Engineering, including projects prepared using the referenced spreadsheets. We hope this meets your needs. If you have any fiirther questions regarding this matter, please call this office at your convenience.
