Open Forum Per Chairperson
5. General Manager Report
Shop is back. Snow is melting. Will update with email blast soon. Not sure when
the opening will happen.
Restaurant Lease
o RFP process is happening.
o Only Jamie appeared for mandatory walkthrough
o Will receive proposal from them soon.
o No one else is interested and/or eligible at this point.
o Can COA provide repairs to infrastructure on kitchen floor.
Budget Update
o Budget is planned 10 years out with adjustments ongoing
1. Jim and Dom have taken a deep dive into improving the
budget to a healthy status. - Austin
o Building improvement budget line item was removed at this
point.
o Tee box leveling has $10k annually budgeted
o Cart path project was removed for now due to Long Range Plan
(LRP)
1. It can be added back in at some point.
2. Can we make temp repairs
3. Paths need to support new carts
4. Can we still piggy-back off of COA asphalt projects. Yes,
discussion is still in progress
5. What is the process of building the new paths
o Fleet Plan:
1. Has been updated to Include ALL equipment
2. Plan put together to replace equipment in out years to
work within our budget
3. Two new machines this year: Lithium ball picker, and top
dresser.
Hole 4/17 project update: Evaluate on 4/24
o Goal would be to complete project prior to Girls State
Championship
o Blue/White tee to be moved/repaired maybe. Bigger, flatter, and
maybe moved closer to cart path
Calendar of Events
Grants: In-kind or cash for tournaments and available funding for events
that are grandfathered
o Continue to try guiding events to outside prime time
City is conducting a full cost analysis of all facilities operating expenses
to support rental of
6. Superintendent Report
Course conditions and update
o Feeling like one month behind
o Dust storm maybe helped
o Starting to drive on course, beginning maintenance
o Weather does not look favorable over next several weeks
o Still progressing
o Next week more crew will come on
o Tree/stump removal in progress
o Overall clean up in progress
o Irrigation system will come online soon
o Fungicide seemed to work well
o #10 was not treated so it will show
o Need warm temps to grow
o Patience is key!
o Aerification process early May hopefully
1. If weather delays into mid-May might just needle tine
greens
o When can vole damage mitigation start? Middle-May
o Skiing is still good!
o How can we protect against trees falling and injuring?
Maintenance team looks at trees periodically and removes or
trims.
o Range will likely open soon with course to follow.
o New range balls but no sponsorship. No interest that was viable.

close but could always use more/simple tasks
8. Women's Golf Association Report
Everything is going along pretty well
Skipping week of State Champs
Increased prices but sign-ups are doing well
9. Men’s Golf Association Report
Dues went up to $90, mostly due to GHIN increase
Events are planned
Meeting has happened
Ryder Cup added Gypsum Creek
10. Old Business
Let us know when volunteers are needed
New score cards have been created/printed
Need to finish bylaws and present back to AGAB
Aspen Junior Golf Tournament is July 24,25
Billy Horschel, Chris DiMarco (confirmed), Lexi Thompson is maybe
Junior Golf is planning to repair concrete around building
Cast iron pipe needs to be re-lined
If anyone know a junior that needs financial assistance, please inform
Charlie.
