HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.024-24RESOLUTION # 024 (Series of 2024) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, APPROVING POLICY UPDATES FOR THE APCHA ESSENTIAL HOME REPAIRS PILOT GRANT PROGRAM. AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID PROGRAM ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO. V�JHEREAS, On September 26th, 2023, City Council approved funding for the APCHA Essential Repairs Pilot Grant Program to address the need for essential home repairs for APCHA housing stock. WHEREAS, the amount of funding approved from the City of Aspen for the pilot grant program was $200,000, one-half of the requested funding needed for the total program, with the other half contributed by Pitkin County. VVFITREAS, on January 17th, 2024, the APCHA Board approved the two policy changes to the program which include expanding program eligibility to Category 4 and to all Categories for emergency, high -cost repairs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, That the City Council of the City of Aspen hereby approves the policy changes to the APCHA Essential Home Repairs Pilot Grant Program and does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute said program on behalf of the City of Aspen. INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Aspen on the 13th day of February 2024.
