DATE: August 26, 2022 RE: Response to Building Department Comments ❑ ENCLOSURE 501 East Dean Street 0019.2022.BCOM Dear Linzhi Thank you for your review and the opportunity to respond to your comments. Please find responses to your comments for 501 E Dean St—0019.2022.BCOM below in blue. 1. A.904 Assemblies—Ceilings:Provide spec sheet for new grid ceiling —Manufacturer's installation manual and verify sprinkler replacement The new ceiling grid scope has been value engineered to only include replacement of the ceiling tiles, not the ceiling grid. The tiles are to be cut to accommodate the existing fire sprinklers, without alteration to the fire suppression system. The ceiling tile submittal is included in the revised Materials PDF: 30.Materials Fire Smoke 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf. The ceiling assembly, on sheet A.904, is revised to demonstrate the ceiling grid structure as "existing to remain", as well as the fire suppression sprinklers. The architectural assemblies sheet is included in the uploaded PDF: 90.Architectural Plans 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf. 2. A.1002—Door Schedule: City of Aspen, not Pitkin County Thank you for catching this error. The agency in the Door Schedule Notes is corrected to "City of Aspen". The revised sheet is included in the uploaded PDF: 90.Architectural Plans 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf. 3. Interior Lighting ComCheck The interior lighting has been further developed. The lighting cutsheet set: 30.Interior Lighting Cutsheets 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf is updated with the current project specifications. The ComCheck incorporates the current information from the specifications; this is uploaded: 30.Interior Lighting ComCheck 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf. The current lighting tags pair with the interior RCPs, in the set: 90.Interior Plans 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf, and electrical plans: 90.Electrical Plans 501 E Dean.20220826.pdf 4. Additional comments The Fenestration U-Factor Documents have been updated with the glazing information from the current and approved door submittal. The Entry Automated Bi-Part Doors L1 A & L1 B are now Guardian Glass.
