The Aspen Ice Garden projects will be suspended until next April. In the meantime, the team is
continuing to procure materials and prepare for the project.
The ARC is getting some necessary boiler work done during the closure. In addition, the waterslide
will be replacing two small sections. It's important to note that the repair is critical for the future, and
the slide is safe to ride, ensuring our members' safety.
Project Graduation went very well; the kids had a good time and were safe all night. Aquatics
programming is going very well for the summer and will be in full swing by June 17th. The Lewis
ice arena is all repaired and operational. The Lewis has a hectic summer schedule full of hockey
camps and new programming like Cosmic Skate. The dry floor of the Aspen Ice Garden will be in
late July. Pickleball has been popular over the season; roller skating on Friday is back, and new this
year is street hockey for youth. The team is continuing to engage the space for a dry floor.
Summer camp is in operation, and softball and baseball are underway. The department is doing a
new summer series of fitness events combined with passive recreation. Park Run is going well
