BLOCK CAPTAIN PROJECT: Ms. Tanaka mentioned that she sent an email with a list of potential questions to ask the businesses. She asked if those questions are ok with the board and putting them into the spreadsheet. The board agreed they are fine. Ms. Davis asked if someone has the map to review. Ms. Tanaka said she has the picture on her pc. She also said they should have started this April 1st as a lot of her neighbors are already closed now. Ms. Davis said she put the questions into the Google doc. She said she thinks it would be helpful to revisit the blocks and ask people to recommit to the blocks or not. She thinks we should cancel the next meeting to work on this. Everyone can check the spreadsheet for progress on each person. She said she also made the half pager, and the city can print a stack of them. It is helpful if everyone could look at it and then move forward. Ms. Henning said she can print the half pager and whomever wishes can come by and pick them up. Ms. Tanaka asked if June is ok since town is closed right now. She also asked if Council or Mayor Torre had said anything. Mr. Ball said he feels June is best. The issue is if we choose June 5th, that leaves them the month of May. He then suggested they be done by the 19th of June. Ms. Henning said she did hear back from the Mayor and he is ok with their project moving forward. Ms. Raj entered the meeting at 8:50 a.m. She asked how it was going with everyone. She said people are really responsive with her. Ms. Davis said she will delete them from her list. 2 REGULAR MEETING COMMERCIAL CORE & LODGING COMMISSION APRIL 17, 2024 Ms. Tanaka said she spoke with the AYC and they haven’t gotten a ton of traction on it yet.
