Re: 905 Chatfield Residence—Wood framing near grade
Dear Gage,
The purpose of this letter is to document the requirements for moisture protection of wood
framing near grade on the above referenced project. The following requirements shall be
followed:
1) All wood material within 6" of grad shall be preservative treated lumber.
2) The exterior waterproofing membrane shall extend up walls a minimum of 6" above
grade.
3) Capillary break shall be used to separate concrete from wood materials.
