Narrative on roof change 1001 E Cooper- Villager 2
Per a 1998 agreement between Unit's 1 and 2 at the Villager Townhomes, Unit 1 was to sign
off on any changes to the roof of Unit 2. Unit 1's owner came to Aspen and noticed they
could now see Unit 2's proposed roof for this remodel permit 0039.2019.ARBK.
Unit 2 went right to work to rectify this problem once pointed out by Unit 1's owner. R+B and
Viking did mock ups of new roof heights to revise our roof to not be visible by Unit 1.
The change to the roof is only in pitch. There is no change to the structural elements except
that one beam on grid line B lowers about 12". The column below it and it's structural path
down to the footings all stays exactly the same.
GARRETT LARIMER AND RDS - No changes will be seen from the street or anywhere but
inside Unit 1. The roof material is staying the same as is the rest of the existing roof, white
TPO.
New Structural Drawings are attached for reference as well as sections showing the
adjustment in height before and after to the beam on Grid Line "B".
