Two doors within this stair will be lockable -

A-614). A note has been added on the door
schedules that these doors will only be
locked on the Stair side and will be
electronically unlocked from fire command
center. HiTower Spec has also been
provided with this submission.

Decks serving common areas
such as the game lounge and
serving Type B units such as
residence 1 and 2 must be
accessible. Maximum height of
threshold above the landing on
either side of doors is 1/2" for
swinging and 3/4" for sliding.
Make this clear on threshold
details by adding dimensions.
Currently some decks are
shown 1/2" below the inside,
which means your threshold
must be flush with the interior
finish floor. (2015 IBC 1107.3)

3) Sheet S-201 Wall Elevations: It appears based on the high lateral loads shown on the plans
that additional corner reinforcement will be required to anchor the shear walls to the
foundation. Please indicate what reinforcement is required to resist these high
overturning forces.
Response: Dowels will be provided into all foundation elements to match the
vertical reinforcing in the wall. These dowels will develop the forces from the walls into
the foundation. Corner reinforcement will be provided per detail 7/S-004 at all wall
intersections. Additional corner reinforcement is not required. See detail 9/S-501 for
additional information.
Partially satisfied. With the base moments at the elevator core indicated on S100
included in the calculation package, it appears added tension bars (in addition to the #5 at 12" o.c.) are
required at the ends of the wall. Please verify that added tension bars are not required.
5) Sheet S-200 Moment Frame Elevations: Please provide completed details for the base
connections for the moment frames.
Response: The moment frame base plate has been included in the base plate
schedule (BP5). See the supplemental calculation package for additional information.
Comment partially satisfied with additional calculations provided.
However, BP5 indicates a Type C baseplate with 4 anchor bolts. BP5 indicates 6 anchors. Please
clarify how the anchors will be installed based on current plate size.
