Outdoor Areas
Yards, patios, courts and similar outdoorareas accessible to and usable by thebuilding occupants shall be provided withmeans of egress as required by thischapter. The occupant load of suchoutdoor areas shall be assigned by thebuilding official in accordance with theanticipated use. Where outdoor areas areto be used by persons in addition to theoccupants of the building, and the path ofegress travel from the outdoor areaspasses through the building, means ofegress requirements for the building shallbe based on the sum of the occupantloads of the building plus the outdoorareas.

Mech Room 1 is fire sprinklered and we
have updated it to be protected by smoke
barriers. The smoke dampers have been
added and are shown on sheet M-100. Door
005A will be self closing. This has been
noted on A-011 and the door schedule on
A-601.
The elevator machine room has been updated to also
be protected by 2 hour fire barriers and horizontal
assemblies. I added a new wall assembly for this (W-57
on A-503). I rearranged the assembly sheets to be
A-500 - A-503 to make room for this.
This dimension has been provided.
Reach range dimensions for the fireplace
controls have been provided on the ADA
elevations on this sheet.

2009 IBC 1013.2
The code requires that the seat will submerge to a water
depth of 18". The spec calls out a maximum of 12" from the
deck to the water. This dimension references the required
water level of the pool. The chair is 18" so the seat will meet
the 18" minimum submerged seat depth as long as the water
in the pool is filled to meet this requirement noted in the spec.
These code lift sections have been updated
on this sheet.
608.3.1.2 references code requiring a vertical grab
bar for a transfer type shower. This is a roll in type
shower and does not appear to require any vertical
grab bars per 608.3.2. However, we have added the
vertical blocking as requested.
The guard has been updated to be 42"
This was updated in the updated
clarification 3 set. These sheets have been
flattened. Please let me know if they show
up correctly.

The dumbwaiter shaft walls are
called out as being W-46 on
A-014, which references to UL
U425, which requires a minimum
3 1/2" steel stud wall with
gypsum board attached to each
side. The wall framing on A-409
scales out at 2" thick. Also, it
does not appear very feasible to
attach the inner layer of drywall
inside the shaft. You could
choose a shaft wall assembly
which would allow for the thinner
framing and use a gyp liner
panel to snap in on the inside for
constructibility.

This dimension has been added. The sliding doors will
be "lift and slide" doors that have a flush sill transition.
However, I added a note that the dimension must be
3/4" or less.
Per our conversation on the phone:
#1 - The two lightwells in the Affordable housing units
are shown as exempt per egress. They are the
minimum size per code (2 windows in each lightwell).
#2 - The strip outside Lodge 1-4 has been updated to
be cremp instead of rremp.
Sheet A-002 has been updated as well as the remp
breakdown sheets. Property lines/setback lines have
been added to this sheet. The Main Level entry
snowmelt was slightly outside the property line so this
shape has been adjusted to be within the property line.
This has been updated on sheet M-201 as well.
