Dear Lauren,
The following is a summary of the changes from the permit documents for building permit change order
#2.
Updated/revised sheets are: A1.3, A1.4, A1.6, S2.1, S2.2, S6.1, M1.1
1) Soil conditions reviewed by HP Kumar were not suitable for shallow frost protected foundation
following excavation and preparation. Foundation strategy, due to requirement to go deeper to
reach acceptable soils, is changing to a crawlspace.
a. Updated limits for excavation (sheet A1.3)
b. Updated sections showing crawlspace (A4.1)
c. Updated REScheck for new foundation details (A6.1)
d. Updated foundation plan, shows crawlspace. (S2.1)
e. Updated framing plans, main level is now a framed floor system. (S2.2)
f. Updated structural details to show footing, crawlspace wall, midspan floor system
support, and updated column to pad conditions. (S6.1)
g. Added transfer grille to crawlspace. Added continuous exhaust fan, 25cfm required
based on size calculation. (M1.1)
2) What has not changed:
a. Footprint of the building.
b. Floor areas, uses of space in livable areas.
c. Building size, shape, height above grade. All exterior dimensions remain the same and
are in the same position.
d. Main level lighting has not changed and 75% or greater of the fixtures will be high
efficacy.
