Please see below items w/ attachments.
1. Asbestos Report attached.
2. We are removing skylight at entryway and replacing with a Velux sun tunnel w/ (U-Factor 0.51) spec. attached
3. W&D duct route & vent termination shown on Electric/Mechanical plan. (A-ID.02)
4. See detail/ceiling assembly w/ 1-hr fire rated Type X board. (L-ID.03)
5. Quiet Rock ES specification is U309 & U340 compliant. (E-ID.03)
6. Combustible mantle material is 13" from fireplace opening. (J-ID.03)
7. Combustible material on the left side of fireplace does not project more than 1-1/2" from fire place face.
8. Existing hearth extension is being replaced by solid-stone (J-ID.03)
9. Exterior doors have a U-Value of 0.27 (see Pella schedule.)

Hi Anne,
I've reviewed your permit application; please see the attached comment list. Please contact me directly
if you have any questions on the comments. Get in touch with your permit coordinator to schedule a
resubmittal or for questions regarding the overall status in the queue of your permit.

These design documents have been reviewed for conformance to the International Codes as adopted
and amended by the City of Aspen. State and Federal regulations are administered where applicable.
You can find a copy of all adopted codes, ordinances, and policies on our website.
The attached corrections are required to be addressed. Revise and redraw the plans to clearly respond
to the attached comments and resubmit this comment letter with your written response to each
comment on this list. Indicate which detail or specification page shows the required information.
Responses such as "will comply with code" are not adequate. Revised drawings must clearly show code
compliance.
Re-submittal: When all items from all agencies have been addressed regarding the comments below,
call 970-920-5090 to schedule a required appointment for re-submittal with your Permit
Coordinator. You will be required to bring a copy of this letter with ALL responses and required
documentation. If all items listed have not been addressed, the resubmittal will be deemed
incomplete, and will not be accepted.

Building plan check is only one part of the often complex process by which projects are reviewed for
approval. These parts are interrelated and are sometimes conflicting. It is ultimately the applicant's
responsibility to coordinate these requirements.
