ENG Structural Consulting, LLC, dated 10/26/2020 (Construction Revisions), and architectural drawings prepared by Modif Architecture, dated 11/05/2020 (Construction Document Revision #7) and received via Bluebeam Studio. Structural drawings are stamped and signed by the engineer of record. Project Name: 232 E. Main Street Core and Shell Project Location: 232 E. Main Street, Aspen, CO 81611 Review based on International Building Code (IBC) Edition: 2015 Building Construction Type: The building is a two-story retail building with a basement below. The structure is framed with a concrete slab on metal deck on steel beams at the first, second, and roof levels. The foundation consists of continuous and pad footings, concrete basement walls, and a concrete slab on grade floor. The stair and elevator core walls are concrete below the main level and masonry above. ENG Structural Consulting 1. Sheet S-1.0 General Notes: Under “Design Criteria”, change the ACI 318-11 reference to ACI 318-14. Redo any calculations/design affected. 2. Sheet S-1.0 General Notes: Under “Design Criteria”, add the required uniform roof snow load of 70 psf. Redo any calculations/design affected. 3. Sheet S-1.0 General Notes: Under “Concrete”, change both references in note #3 from ACI 318-11 to ACI 318-14. 4. Sheet S2.0 First and Second Floor Plans: Provide Masonry, Foundation, and Lateral design calculations. Provided calculations from Western Wood Structures are only for wood superstructure members. 5. Sheet S2.0 First and Second Floor Plans: Column size doesn’t match CLT drawings at column TC4 at grids F.8-9.8. Please clarify. 6. Sheet S2.0 First and Second Floor Plans: Column size doesn’t match CLT drawings at all TC2 columns. Please clarify. 7. Sheet S2.0 First and Second Floor Plans: At grids C.2-7, a column is indicated on the CLT drawings but is not shown on this sheet. Please clarify. 8. Sheet S2.1 Roof Framing Plans: Provide Masonry and Lateral design calculations. Provided calculations from Western Wood Structures are only for wood superstructure members. 9. Sheet S4.0 Sections: At details 2, 3, and 18/S4.0, provide calculations indicating footings are structurally adequate due to the eccentric footing loads. 10. Sheet S4.0 Sections: At details 2, 3, and 18/S4.0, due to the thickness of the walls, two mats of reinforcement are required. Please revise details to conform to ACI 318-14 Chapter 11 requirements.
