All valve boxes and main lines should be located outside the City ROW. Valves boxes and main lines can be moved toward the residence as much as possible to achieve these ends. Minimizing the number of necessary valve boxes will decrease disturbance as well. The City Forester has discretion with regard to potential disturbance to trees and approves these recommendations Revise plans accordingly. Include thespecies to be planted in this area and how the proposed fence will interface with the rain garden. Adjust plans accordingly. GJP - Revised to read exactly as requested. GJP - Rick, Our designs are drawn in this way to show these components for clarity, so there isn’t any confusion for the contractor during installation and it is up to the installation contractor to field locate these items according to the State, County and City requirements since we are not usually there on every project watching the installation progress. We have no way of knowing where the installer may end up having to put all of these components due to rocks or other unforeseeable obstacles. So what I have done, is to include your note in our “Irrigation Notes” (Note #5) along with inserting the text in the actual drawing next to the area you have referred to which I hope will be acceptable for approval. There is only mulch over the Rain Garden - Reference Civil C7 for detail. Gate & support posts straddle the Rain Garden - reference Landscape drawings.
