The review and approval by the City is offered only to assist the applicant's understanding of the applicable Engineering requirements." The issuance of a permit based on construction documents and other data shall not prevent the City of Aspen from requiring the correction of errors in the construction documents and other data. 1. Introduction The drainage system found at 993 Moore Drive collects all impervious runoff from the lot with yard drains, patio drains, trench drains and driveway drains and directs the collected runoff to two Silva Cell Systems. Appendix A, attached, provides a survey of the drainage components. As the system is described below, portions of the survey have been enlarged and presented as Figures to depict drainage components locations. 2. Component Maintenance 2.1 Drains There are eighteen area drains, two trench drains and two french drains onsite. At least annually, the drain grates should be removed and any sediment, trash, and other debris should be removed. It may be necessary to use a wet/dry vac to first pump the drains in order to adequately remove all accumulated sed- iment. Figure 1, depicts the location of the drain located around the exterior of the house. French drains should be jetted with high pressure water every 5-years. 2.2 Silva Cell Collection System Two buried water collection systems are located on site. There is a system just north of the pool and a system east of the house. Water is collected and routed to the Silva Cell Collection System by a series of pipes and inverts. Every 5 years the inlet upstream of the Silva Cell System should be jetted with high pressure water. After jetting the system, the system should be filled with water until water backs up into the inlet. On the following day, the system should be filled again. Each filling of the system should take a similar amount of time. If the second filling takes significantly less time to fill, the system should be jetted a second time and the procedure performed again. If the filling times do not equalize, the system may be clogged. If the system is clogged, the system should be excavated and the soil inside the Silva Cell system shall be replaced. 2 Figure 1.
