Galena Street Aspen, CO 81611 Attn: Sophie Varga RE: 301 Clubside Permit Application Per your request, the following narrative represents the scope of work for the permit work requested for 301 Clubside. Please note that future remodel work is anticipated but will be issued separately. The current request for permit includes adding 174 SF to the existing upper level deck off the rear of the unit. The deck extension is supported off of the existing area well concrete foundation with two new columns. There will be no change to the existing grade. The existing deck is concrete and snowmelted. The concrete surface will be removed and the snowmelt tubing replaced and respaced for the added area. New waterproofing will be provided and new flagstone decking will replace the concrete. In addition to the deck extension, the permit request includes a new folding panel patio door that will replace an existing French door and window. The opening for the door requires a new structural header. Work area for this permit has been defined as 174 SF of added deck area and 41 SF of demolition of exterior wall for the new door system.
