Wildfire Mitigation Measures: - The screening provided by the proposed Colorado Spruce is a condition of approval through the Five Trees Design Review Board. To mitigate their potential to be a wildfire hazard the following is proposed, spruce trees will be clustered together in natural groupings with breaks of 10' or more between clusters. Vegetation below the spruce trees will be maintained at heights 6" or lower. Preference will be given to selecting proposed trees with thick bark, long needles and trees with naturally lose lower branches. - Routine maintenance will ensure annuals and herbaceous plants will be removed after they have gone to seed or when the stems become dry, damaged plants will be removed and timely pruning will be incorporated. - The landscape plan avoids highly flammable mulches and fire-prone plant materials. 1/2/2019 Page: L9-02 Author: rickma Date: 9/24/2018 8:45:38 AM File Name: Landscape_Rd 1 Response_2018-09-12-.pdf Please provide a detail drawing of the green roof, including materials and dimensions L9-02 (4) Page: L9-02 Author: rickma Date: 9/28/2018 8:06:31 AM File Name: Landscape_Rd 1 Response_2018-09-12-.pdf The language of Section 5.1 (Soil Criteria) needs to be on the plans, not a referral statement such as this one.
