The original plans for this
building showed a future lift
within your space to provide an
accessible route to the second
floor. IBC 1104.5 would require
your accessible route to the
second floor to be located within
your unit unless all occupants
were required to leave you unit
to access the second floor. In
order to have this route
considered you will need to
submit a formal request to the
chief building official to have this
accepted as an alternate means
of compliance stating why the
future lift was removed and
clearly outlining how this route
will comply (doors unlocked to
common area elevator at all
times of business operation for
unassisted access, etc.)

Show the retail floor areas you
are claiming on the ComCheck,
these need to correspond to
actual displays/shelving that
showcase the retail on display.
Show how all retail lighting is
independently controlled from
the general lighting per IECC
C405.4.2.2.1, these two types of
lighting cannot be on the same
switch. As currently shown I
don't think you have compliant
general lighting if all the track
lighting (retail) was turned off.
Revise the ComCheck if needed.
