necessary to comply with the requirements contained within them. This review is not a building
permit. The local jurisdiction is responsible for issuing the appropriate permits based on this

REVIEW COMMENTS
The items noted below with a comment number (B-1, B-2 etc.) are items that need to be
corrected to show compliance with the applicable codes. Please provide a written response
indicating where the corrections are made on the plans. This will speed up the review process. Additional comments may be forthcoming once all revisions are received for review.
BUILDING CODE COMMENTS
B-1 Refer to Sheet A102: There is a new exterior Wall Type 11 called out on the west side
of buildings A & B. There are no details to identify what Wall Type 11 is. On the
original approved plan set, Sheet A501 Assemblies, the wall types go through Type 10.
Please provide details for Wall Type 11.
STRUCTURAL COMMENTS
The scope of this review is limited to the structural plans provided.
Structural Plan Comments:
S-1 Sheet S-102: At roughly grid intersection G.5-3, there is a jog in a lower bearing wall and
foundation that would no longer provide support for the framing condition shown in
section 1/S-405. Please clarify or revise support.
S-2 Sheet S-402, Section 9: It does not appear the cantilevered framing supporting a 2” concrete topping has sufficient attachment to support applicable loading. Please review
and verify this condition is structurally stable.
City of Aspen Comments:
A-1 Sheet S-102 is still showing the sheathing on the inside of the exterior wall on the
historic resource. Please update to show the as -built condition with the sheathing on the
outside of the framing.
A-2 Please provide the updated stamped mechanical drawings showing the locations of the
ceiling radiation dampers and protection of the ERV supply the penetrates the fir e
partition at the dwelling separation .
