On 2/23//21,David Coon,Aspen City Forester assessed one 13"DBH spruce being requested for removal at 1010 E Hyman Ave.per the attached plan titled EXISTING SITE PLAN&PROPOSED W/DEMOLITION CALCS sheet A0.1 dated 3/4/20(should be 2021).This tree needs to be removed to make space for the AC condenser units and trash enclosure.Other trees to be retained on the site will be protected per the specifications of this permit and the protection plan. The tree approved for removal have been assigned a value using a standard formula developed for all trees found within the City of Aspen.The formula is as follows: Value=$45.00 x 3.14 x(D/2)2,where D is the diameter of the tree at breast height.The total mitigation value assessed for the tree to be removed is$5,970.00.This amount will not be offset by any tree planting.The total mitigation owed is thus$5,970.00. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:Trees may not be removed until the associated building permit has been issued and up-to-date stamped tree permit submittal documents have been approved by the City Forester and stamped by the Building Dept.All subsequent rounds of reviews and change orders must be reviewed by the City Forester.
