None of the permits show a new electric service line. The property will need to add the electric line work to the existing building permit within a change order. The following information is needed in the building permit submittal.Additional questions regarding this electrical service aspect of the building permit can be directed to Carly(copied on this email). Transformers Installation of a new service line to an existing transformer: 1. Show existing service line and current transformer. 2. Show the proposed service line and trench. 3. Show the existing easement which serves the existing transformer. If the existing transformer does not have appropriate easements or access it may not be permitted to be utilized. 4. Coordinate with City of Aspen Electric. Contact info httos://www.citvofasoen.com/182/Electric . Provide written documentation stating that there is adequate capacity and lugs in the existing transformer to support the new development. 5. Provide load calcs for the existing transformer with the proposed service line. 6. Show asphalt trenching in the alley if appropriate.Show any utility crossings. I do not think this requires a SUE but verify lengths of the trench. If a SUE is required the plan needs to be stamped by an engineer. A project is classified as a Subsurface Utility Engineering(SUE) project if it meets all of the conditions below.See section 7.5.1 of engineering standards for more info 1. The project involves a construction contract with a public entity 2. The project involved primarily horizontal construction and does not involve primarily the construction of buildings 3. The project has an anticipated excavation footprint that exceeds two feet in depth and that is a contiguous one thousand square feet OR involves utility boring 4. The project requires the design services of a licensed Professional Engineer. There is an existing electric permit 0209-2020-ELEC all information on the new meters needs to be incREiCEIVED 2.J) 05/02/2022 08/15/2022 mmmulmAaAS PEN imp BUILDING DEPARTMENT the electric permit. We'd like to move forward with preparing for this. Scott Wenning at the City has informed us that we are required to put this change on the master building permit, as a change order. Due to the elongated approval times of change orders, it's critical for us to get this process underway. Based on Scott's guidance (I'll send you his email right after I send this one to you), we need to ensure there is capacity on the existing transformer for the new service. Assuming there is, we will then need to plot the course of the trench on a site plan. Are you in a position to assist us with these efforts, Ron ?
