Otherwise,we hope to advise that it is placed on the ground level,somewhere in compliance with Sec.26.575.020(e)(5)(n).This section reads as follows: Comments Heating and air conditioning equipment and similar mechanical equipment,but excluding generators,shall have the following requirements: 1.Prohibited between any lot line adjacent to a street and any structure;and 2.Shall be located at least double the minimum setback for a primary structure from any lot line adjacent to a street;and 3.If visible from the street,these features shall be screened in accordance with Section 26.575.050,Fence Materials,with natural features,or by other means determined appropriate by the Community Development Director;and 4.If located within a setback not adjacent to a street,these features shall not exceed thirty(30)inches above and forty-eight(48)inches below finished grade.These features may be up to thirty(30)inches above and forty-eight(48)inches below finished grade simultaneously. On our end,we are searching for exemption language as we understand heat pumps to be more and more popular.We have exemption language heat pumps at the ground level,but it appears that we do not have it yet for rooftops.I will keep you updated if I do in fact find an exemption on my end.
