On 6/10/21,David Coon,Aspen City Forester assessed the trees being requested for removal at 1315 Sage Ct.per the Tree Removal Plan L.2.000 dated stamped by the COA building dept.on 6/4/21.Trees to be retained will be protected per the specifications of this permit(at or outside of actual tree driplines wherever possible unless otherwise approved)and the protection plan mentioned above.IMPORTANT:Pneumatic excavation("air-spading")may need to be done at the excavation limits for the driveway expansion within the dripline of trees to remain in the immediate are.Roots must be inspected first by the City Forester and then cut cleanly with a sharp saw or lopper pruners. The trees approved for removal have been assigned a value using a standard formula developed for all trees found within the City of Aspen.The formula is as follows: Value=$45.00 x 3.14 x(D/2)2,where D is the diameter of the tree at breast height.The total mitigation value assessed for the trees to be removed is$32,821.00.This amount will be fully offset by the planting of trees on the property per the Planting Plan L.2.dated stamped by the COA building dept.on 6/4/21 and per the estimate from Roaring Fork Landscapes dated 5/11/21 in the amount of$49,175.00.$0.00 net mitigation is currently due.
