1. Enter all new exterior energy uses on the site
Use this tab for Residential projects (Group R2 & R3, 3 stories or less) or for residential portions of mixed used buildings.
Outdoor spa:
1. A maximum of (1) portable spa per property with a water surface area of not more than 64 square
If existing energy uses are being replaced or relocated enter those uses in this tab as new and also enter them in the REMP-Existing tab under 'existing to be
removed.' To receive credit for existing to be replaced or relocated energy uses, use the REMP-Existing tab. Existing to remain exterior energy uses must be entered
in the REMP-existing tab.
1. A nine square foot portion of emergency escape and rescue window wells is exempt.
2. Accessible routes as defined by IBC section 1104.1 and 1104.2 and limited to 48” in width is exempt.
In-Slab Snowmelt and Outdoor Electric Heat Mats:
Exempt energy uses: The following energy uses may be entered as 'exempt' but you must demonstrate how this exemption is met (subject to approval by the building
official).
Heat tape including roof and gutter deicing systems and exterior piping:
1. Up to 1000 watts are exempt.
3. Enter all new interior fireplaces.
4. Use the appropriate tabs to enter renewable energy credits. Solar hot water system square footage is entered here.
5. Energy offset amounts are totaled here, along with total credits. Credit received from existing to be removed or replaced systems as calculated in the REMP-Exisitng tab
is accounted for here. If you made a payment in lieu earlier in this project, enter that amount in "amont previously paid."
