Re: Letter to Provide Structural Design Services
616 E Hyman Avenue
Aspen, Colorado
My office has been contacted by Gavin Merlino (Architect), to provide professional engineering
services for the above-referenced project. It is understood that this remodel is intended as
Interior Only with NO Structural Revisions. We will submit our standard Letter of Agreement to
provide the following services.
1. Observation of existing structure as required during demolition.
2. Design documents for any remodel structure work that may arise during the remodel
process as requested.
3. Observation during new structural construction with Field Reports as required.
I have visited the property listed above, observed the existing conditions, and reviewed the
proposed changes. It is assumed that none of this work with have an impact on the existing
structure.
Conceptually, this project involves:
1. Upgrade of unit finishes.
2. Reconfiguration of assumed non-load bearing partition walls.
Conclusion
Structural systems are assumed to not be impacted. However, this office will review any un-
anticipated structural systems affected by the remodel work and provide structural
recommendations as required.
Please contact my office with any questions.
