IBC Requirements for Grease Duct Encroachment above ROW:
3202.3.2 Windows, balconies, architectural features
and mechanical equipment. Where the vertical clearance
above grade to projecting windows, balconies,
architectural features or mechanical equipment is more
than 8 feet (2438 mm), 1 inch (25 mm) of encroachment
is permitted for each additional 1 inch (25 mm) of clear-ance
above 8 feet (2438 mm), but the maximum
encroachment shall be 4 feet (1219 mm).
IMC requirements for grease duct termination:
506.3.13 Exhaust outlets serving Type I hoods. Exhaust
outlets for grease ducts serving Type I hoods shall
conform to the requirements of Sections 506.3.13.1
through 506.3.13.3.
506.3.13.1 Termination above the roof. Exhaust
outlets that terminate above the roof shall have the
discharge opening located not less than 40 inches
(1016 mm) above the roof surface.
506.3.13.2 Termination through an exterior wall.
Exhaust outlets shall be permitted to terminate through
exterior walls where the smoke, grease, gases, vapors
and odors in the discharge from such terminations do
not create a public nuisance or a fire hazard. Such
terminations shall not be located where protected open-ings
are required by the International Building Code.
Such terminations shall be located in accordance with
Section 506.3.13.3 and shall not be located within 3
feet (914 mm) of any opening in the exterior wall.
506.3.13.3 Termination location. Exhaust outlets
shall be located not less than 10 feet (3048 mm) hori-zontally
from parts of the same or contiguous
buildings, adjacent buildings and adjacent property
lines and shall be located not less than 10 feet (3048
mm) above the adjoining grade level. Exhaust outlets
shall be located not less than 10 feet (3048 mm) hori-zontally
from or not less than 3 feet (914 mm) above
air intake openings into any building.

Aspen Restco LLC to provide structural engineering design services as the engineer of record for the
above referenced project. The scope of services will be determined during demolition, during which,
DB Structural Design Ltd. will be on site to evaluate existing structure and assess the structural
modifications necessary to accommodate this remodel.

As a condition of permit approval, a separate permit shall be applied for
and acted upon to create an accessible restroom within the tenant space
in the spring of 2025. This will also be a condition of the temporary
certificate of occupancy for this permit's scope of work, with full certificate
of occupancy to be issued once restroom work is complete.
