A ROW permit and Permanent Encroachment License are required. - R10 insulation shall be installed under the area to be snowmelted or R5 insulation shall be installed under the slab edges. (Ordinance 11 Series 2011) - Automatic controls installed for system shut off when pavement temperature is above 50°F and no precipitation is falling. (2015 IECC R403.9 and C403.2.4.5) - Automatic or manual controls installed for system shut off when outdoor temperature is above 40°F.
