CONTACT IRRIGATION CONSULTANT FOR CURRENT SPECIFICATIONS IF NOT PROVIDED. 2.SYSTEM PRESSURE - HYDROSYSTEMS*KDI HAS CONTACTED THE LOCAL WATER DISTRICT THAT SERVES THIS SITE AND THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE STATIC WATER PRESSURE IN THIS AREA SHOULD BE 90 PSI. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO FIELD VERIFY PRESSURE PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY CONSTRUCTION AND NOTIFY HYDROSYSTEMS*KDI OF ANY VARIANCE FROM THE STATED PRESSURE IMMEDIATELY. WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION OF PRESSURE TEST AND RESULTS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO HYDROSYSTEMS*KDI AT CONSTRUCTION ONSET. THIS SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESIGNED FOR A REQUIRED STATIC PRESSURE OF 75 PSI MINIMUM. 3.IRRIGATION SYSTEM OPERATION INTENT - THIS IRRIGATION SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO IRRIGATE THE ESTABLISHED LANDSCAPE WITHIN A SIX NIGHT PER WEEK, SIX HOUR PER NIGHT WATERING WINDOW. ESTABLISHMENT WATERING WILL REQUIRE UP TO TWICE AS MUCH IRRIGATION FOR A FOUR TO SIX WEEK PERIOD. THE DESIGN IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING PROJECTED WEEKLY APPLICATION RATES AFTER ESTABLISHMENT. THESE FIGURES ARE BASED ON A 30-YEAR AVERAGE WEATHER DATA AND WILL NEED TO BE ADJUSTED DUE TO SEASONAL CHANGES AND WEATHER CONDITIONS ABOVE AND BELOW THE AVERAGE VALUES UTILIZED. See Appendix A for examples of how these circumstances may be included in the water budget calculation. Special features to incentivize healthy landscapes. • Non-irrigated protected native vegetation areas. • Ecological restoration areas (see Section 4.3.2.e below). • Bioretention areas (see Section 4.3.4.b.i below). • Non-irrigated permeable areas (see Section 4.3.4.b.ii below). • Stormwater conveyance infrastructure (see Section Stormwater Management4.3.4.b.iii below). If any combination of the special feature areas totals to at least 5% of the total irrigated hydrozone area, then the Maximum Applied Water Budget increases to 8 gallons/season/sq-ft (12.8 inches/season). If any combination of the special feature areas totals to at least 10% of the total irrigated hydrozone area, then the Maximum Applied Water Budget increases an to 8.5 gallons/season/sq.ft. The applicant must clearly demonstrate that the areas claimed as special features meet the criteria for non-irrigated protected native area and ualify for enough area to allow 8.4 gal/SF/season. Provide more information on this issue. The irrigated ROW shall be included in the water budget as per WELS Section 4.3.1. Most if not all of the ROW appears to be irrigated. Revise plans and calculations or show that all the irrigated ROW area is included in the budget. Some if not all of these hydrozone areas claimed as " ....non-irrigated landscape" appear to be served by an existing irrigation system. The overhead sprinklers and associated under-story growth is evident. Please provide more information on this issue, and revise plans and budget calculations accordingly.Provide a table that calls out the special features area (SF) relative to the total irrigated hydrozone area (SF).
