Please accept this letter as a request for exemption from the ResCheck document normally required for a residential project. All construction in this project meets the prescriptive code requirements of the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code. The new roof will meet the prescriptive value of R-49 from Table 402.1.2. The new slab will have a value equal to (or better than) the R-10 factor listed in table 402.1.2. The new basement walls will have a value equal to (or better than) the R15/19 factor listed in table 402.1.2. See table for information The new walls will meet the prescriptive value of R-21 (R13 cavity insulation + R10 continuous insulation) from Table 402.1.2. The new windows will have a fenestration u-factor equal to (or better than) the 0.28 U-factor listed in table 402.1.2. For existing walls and ceilings, the existing framing should be filled with insulation per IECC. The new glass doors will have a fenestration u-factor equal to (or better than) the 0.28 factor listed in table 402.1.2. Copies of the windows and their specifications can be forwarded to you should you want to verify the values above.
