Oddo Engineering Job: 366 Pfister, Lot 39 Maroon Creek,Aspen, Colorado Oddo Project No: 2020-71 Date: November 16, 2020 Clayton, The purpose of the site visit was to provide a general walk thru of the interior of the house and observe some of the cracks in the plaster. Most of the cracks in the plaster thru out the house appear to be normal shrinkage cracks and/or minor wood settlement. On either side of the Living Room fireplace there are vertical cracks in the plaster at the corner seams of the masonry fireplace and the wood stud walls. The cracks do not appear to be shrinkage cracks or from settlement of the foundation. One opinion would be that the stud walls were not attached to the masonry fireplace and have pulled away. It does not appear to be a life safety issue. Repair of the plaster will be required and if the cracks reappear further investigate may be required. The majority of the wood beams in the interior ceiling appears to be non-structural and could be removed with verification of the original structural drawings. In summary, I did not observe any major structural issues, but this does not eliminate the possibility from the original construction. I provided a walk thru for a general observation; this is not a certification letter of the building.
