Site drainage excavation and footprint for addition to home:
NEW FOOTPRINT AND EXCAVATION:
THE PROPOSED MASTER/LOWER BEDROOM ADDITION AND LIVING AREA BUMP-OUT
HAVE A FOOTPRINT OF APPROXIMATELY 265 FT2. THE AREA WHERE THE ADDITION
WILL GO AT THE MASTER IS A SPLIT LEVEL. AS A RESULT, THE FOUNDATION WILL BE A
FROST DEPTH (42”) AS IT EXISTS AT PRESENT. THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR SHORING
AS THE DEPTH IS MINIMUM, AND THE AMOUNT OF EXCAVATION WILL BE MINIMUM AS
WELL.
NOTE REGARDING DRAINAGE:
ALL ONSITE DRAINAGE AT BOTH THE HOUSE AND THE EXISTING HARD- SCAPE WILL
REMAIN THE SAME.
THE NEW ROOF AREAS WILL BE OVER FRAMED ON TO AND INTEGRATED WITH THE
EXISTING ROOF STRUCTURE.
EXISTING DOWNSPOUT LOCATIONS WILL BE RETAINED. THE NEW BUMPOUT AREA AT
THE MASTER WILL BE HANDLED WITH A NEW GUTTER TIED INTO THE EXISTING. ALL
DRAINAGE WILL BE HANDLED ON SITE AS IT IS AT PRESENT.

"It should be known that this review shall not
relieve the applicant of their responsibility to
comply with the requirements of the City of
Aspen. The review and approval by the City is
offered only to assist the applicant's
understanding of the applicable Engineering
requirements." The issuance of a permit based
on construction documents and other data shall
not prevent the City of Aspen from requiring the
correction of errors in the construction
documents and other data.
