On 11/3/20,David Coon,Aspen City Forester,performed an inspection of seven(7)trees being requested for removal at 931 Gibson and other locations in and around the city right-of-way in order to move the historic structure from 333 Park Ave.to 931 Gibson Ave.per the ATTACHED tree map and tree mitigation table.The applicant will have a tree service crew on site with an ISA Certified Arborist standing by ready to prune branches as needed.Branches will pruned preventatively for clearance of the moving structure by the direction of the City Forester and/or owner of the given tree. The trees approved for removal have been assigned a value using a standard formula developed for all trees found within the City of Aspen.The formula is as follows: Value=$45.00 x 3.14 x(D/2)2,where D is the diameter of the tree at breast height.The total mitigation value assessed for the trees to be removed is$55,866.00.No additional trees will be planted to offset for mitigation.A net balance of$55,866.00 payable to the City of Aspen must be paid cash in lieu prior to the release of this permit.ON 5/5/21 THE APPLICANT REQUESTED THE REMOVAL OF(1)ADDITIONAL 17"NARROWLEAF COTTONWOOD IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY ON KING ST.
