On 10/2/20, David Coon, Aspen City Forester, performed an inspection of (5) additional trees being requested for removal at 617 W Bleeker St. per the Tree Mitigation Plan called “Site/Base Plan” sheet A0-02 dated 9/10/20. This in includes tree numbers 29,33, 36, 37, and 38. Trees to be retained will be protected per the CMP sheet A0-01 dated 5/29/2020 and the specifications attached to this permit. The trees approved for removal have been assigned a value using a standard formula developed for all trees found within the City of Aspen. The formula is as follows: Value=$45.00 x 3.14 x (D/2)2, where D is the diameter of the tree at breast height. The total mitigation value assessed for the trees to be removed is $11,204.00. No additional trees will be planted to offset mitigation due for additional trees to be removed. The balance of additional mitigation due is $11,204.00 which must be paid cash in lieu to The City of Aspen prior to the release of this permit.
