ENGINEERING REVIEW COMMENTS AND CORRECTIONS Survey 1. Survey shall have a basis of bearing tied to two city monuments. Please see the revised survey for ties to two city monuments. 2. Survey shall include ties to existing building. Please see the revised survey for ties to the existing building. Civil Sheets 1. Plans must definitively state whether wall is being replaced or not. If wall must be replaced and is taller than 4', a wall detail stamped by a structural engineer must be provided. The wall will be removed and not replaced; see sheet C.1.001. A proposed 18” tall max concrete board form planter will make up grade from patio to driveway, see architectural set for details. 2. How will site be excavated? Submit excavation/stabilization planset for review. If layback is proposed, 1:1 is the max layback slope allowable. Land Surveying Civil Engineering 11/03/2021 The site will be excavated with a mini-excavator. Please see the attached soil stabilization plan. 3. Where will stormwater infiltrate? It appears that the liner will prevent infiltration into the ground. Revise plans to allow infiltration or submit a detail and plan for non-infiltrating pervious pavers. The liner will enclose the pervious pavers to prevent stormwater infiltration within 10’ of the existing and proposed foundations per geotechnical recommendations. After 10’, the liner will end at a gravel pocket to allow for stormwater infiltration. See sheets C.1.001 and C.6.001 for revisions. 4. Submit detail for blue board insulation with R size that accomplishes 30% perforation. Blue board has been removed, as this area will not have snowmelt. License No. 29975 Roger D. Neal, P.E.
