These plans must be kept at the
building site or inspection
delays may occur. Construction
shall conform to these plans. All
changes shall be approved by
the building official.

It should be known that this review shall
not relieve the applicant of their
responsibility to comply with the
requirements of the City of Aspen
Municipal Code. Pursuant to
Sec.26.104.050, any permit or approval
issued in error or otherwise not in
conformity with the requirements of this
Title, shall be void. Similarly, any permit
or approval issued in reliance upon or
as a result of, a materially false
statement or representation made in
the process of obtaining the permit or
development approval shall, likewise,
be void. Any person having received a
void or voidable permit or approval
shall not be relieved from having to
comply with all applicable terms and
conditions of this Title and the City shall
not be estopped from fully enforcing
same.
SNOWMELT MANDATORY REQ’S.
All snowmelt systems shall meet the following per (Ordinance 1 Series 2023):
-Any portions in the Right of Way must be on a separate zone. A ROW permit
and Permanent Encroachment License are required.
-R10 insulation shall be installed under the area to be snow melted or R5
insulation shall be installed under and at the slab edges.
-Automatic controls configured for system shut off when surface temperature and
air temperature are above 40°F and no precipitation is falling.
-Inspection by testing hydrostatically at 1½ times max system design pressure,
but not less than 100psi, for 15 minutes. (2021 IMC Sec. 1208.1)

Aspen Home Inspections was brought on as general contractor for 920 East Hyman on
April 3rd, 2024, after failed attempts by the original contractor to remedy a foundation
leak at the underpinning of the recently remodeled historic home.
Work Completed as of March 2024
• Identified leak in south and east side basement walls.
• Excavated approximately 25’ of the east foundation wall, and approximately 30 ’
of the south foundation wall.
• Foundation Repair of Western Colorado installed a continuous heat welded
drain mat on both the east and south side s of the foundation to keep water
away from the foundation walls.
• Foundation drain piping installed to transport ground water to a sub-surface
collection basin.
• From that basin a submersible pump directs the collected water through piping
to irrigate the yard.
Work to be Completed
• Backfill foundation.
• Final grading.
• Entry walkway installation.
• Revegetation.
